A Big Sabbath Day
NEWS FROM MIKE AND MARILEE (VOLUNTEER MINISTRY INT’L). Thai congregations from Bangkok and surrounding areas gathered together on December 7 for a quarterly “Big Sabbath Day.” Eleven people were baptized on that day, including a man with whom Mike and Marilee (along with others) have been studying for over a year. Mike and Marilee are praising the Lord for this victory!
It is rare for an ethnic central Thai to become a Christian. Opposition by family, friends and a strong Buddhist community exerts a near-overwhelming pressure to conform.
Let’s pray this prayer with the Mike and Marilee: “Just now Father, through united Christlikeness, pull another into Your ministry of healing.”
